Welcome to the Indie Crime Scene

Welcome to the Indie Crime Scene, a blog about all things indie crime fiction. In the future, we plan to feature new releases and guest posts, interview authors and offer a round-up of interesting links about crime fiction from around the web.

So why create the Indie Crime Scene? As an author, I'm a bit of a Jack or rather Jane of all genres, since I write both science fiction and fantasy as well as a mystery series, the Helen Shepherd Mysteries, and a pulpy retro thriller series, The Silencer. In my SFF author identity, I also co-run the Speculative Fiction Showcase, a blog devoted to all things indie SFF, which has been going strong now for three years. However, when looking for a place to promote a new mystery release, I realised that there really wasn't a site like that for the crime and mystery genres. So I thought, "Why not create one?" This blog is the result.

What sort of books and authors do we plan to feature here at the Indie Crime Scene? Our definition of crime fiction is fairly broad and encompasses not just mysteries, whether cozy or hardboiled or anything inbetween, but also detective fiction, noir, suspense, whether romantic or otherwise, spy fiction and thrillers.

If you're an author and would like to be interviewed or see your book featured at the Indie Crime Scene, our submission info is here

So welcome to the Indie Crime Scene, your one-stop spot for indie crime fiction, mystery, suspense and thrillers!
